1: VENUE MANAGER

£30,000 per annum
40 hrs per week
29 days per year (includes public holidays)
Probationary period: 6 months

Scottish Youth Theatre is seeking a new Venue Manager to drive the next phase in the venue’s development and implement a new business model for the organisation.

In the coming months, the venue will be developed as a trading subsidiary of the main youth theatre charity. We are seeking a commercially minded individual with an eye for opportunities and a desire to provide an exceptional service to all users of the facilities. You’ll have effective team management skills that motivate those you work with; you’ll have experience of managing events that generate surplus income and you’ll be accustomed to managing operational budgets alongside sound working knowledge of areas of compliance in a public venue environment.

2:YOUTH ARTS COORDINATOR

£27k pro rata (£12.98 per hour)
0.4 FTE Average 16 hrs per week
29 days pro rata (includes all public holiday entitlements)
Probationary period: 6 months

Scottish Youth Theatre is seeking a new Youth Arts Coordinator to manage a regular programme of workshop activity and courses and deliver some of the drama sessions.

The right candidate will be an experienced youth theatre practitioner with an interest and understanding of wider art forms in order to broaden the activity on offer. You will have a sound understanding of good practice in delivering a regular skills based programme. This includes planning workshops to deliver agreed learning outcomes, inclusive practice, creating a positive and supportive environment, recruiting and supporting the right artists to deliver the programme, thinking creatively about content in relation to young people’s interests and aspirations and evaluating activity to inform future planning and delivery.
