Easter Holiday Activity For Ages 8 - 11

£30 per day, £125 for full week

If you are looking for whats on for kids this Easter, then bring them to Scottish Youth Theatre where they can have fun learning theatrical skills from highly skilled and passionate professionals.

Participants will work with Musicians, Actors, Prop Makers and Make-up Artists to learn theatrical skills which they will share in an informal session at the end of each day.

The workshops are suitable for beginners or previous participants who wish to develop their skills. Each day there will be a short, informal sharing of work at 4pm.

The School of Rock Day (Musical Theatre)



The School of Rock Day is a chance to grab your air guitar and  get loud with the songs from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical under the guidance of a professional musical theatre performer. 

Being a young person can sometimes be tough with a lot of people telling you what to do, so rock up to SYT, be cheeky and sing it out.

 4(Tue) Puppetry

Working with a skilled puppeteer, design and make your own human size puppet. Give your puppet a name, an age, find out its loves and hates, make it breathe and make it move. Work as part of a puppet team to create some adventurous puppet adventures and show what your puppet gets up to each day.


Become a Zombie (Stage Make-up)


Working with a professional Special Effects Artist, learn the tricks and techniques to transform you from your everyday look to something terrifying. Explore ideas from a selection of horror looks, draw out your own fearsome face design, create some gory scars and become a zombie for the day.

6(Thu) Captain Underpants (Comedy Acting) So let's imagine, one day you wake up and you are living in the world of Captain Underpants, Who will you meet?, What adventures will you have?, Will you save the day or will you have an epic fail and need rescued? Working with a professional Director to create larger than life characters that want to change the world for the better, come along and create chaos.

Try Capoeira (Movement and self defence)

Experience the art of Capoeira with professional Movement Artists from Senzala Glasgow. 
See the spectacle of Capoeira and then learn the basics through rhythm, spacial awareness, camaraderie and self defence.  Explore the basic defence and attack moves, experiment with simple acrobatics and play with rhythm through use of musical instruments. 

Drop off: Early drop off from 9am & late pick up until 5pm. Any one dropped off before 9am and picked up after 5pm will be unsupervised.  

Please bring a packed lunch each day. SYT is a nut free building.
