Making Space: Kid Astronaut

Limetree Productions present a sharing of work

Kid Astronaut

Part of SYT’s Making Space programme

Fri 11 May, 5pm

Admission free, all welcome

We warmly invite you to a sharing of work by Limetree Productions as part of Making Space – SYT’s  programme which supports young artists who want to develop their own theatre work.

Kid Astronaut is the story of a young girl, Halley, who needs to complete a science project about the solar system for school. Halley really, really wants to be an astronaut when she grows up, so she needs to learn as much about space as she can. But little does Halley know the surprise she's in for, when BOOM! CRASH...an astronaut lands in her back garden.

Can the astronaut help Halley with her science project? Will Halley help the astronaut get flying again? Come be a kid astronaut with Halley to find out!

Kid Astronaut is an interactive piece of theatre for astronauts big and small and is recommended for ages 0-7.

Limetree Productions is made up of emerging theatre makers Jen Athan and Aimee Buchanan who have been developing the piece at Scottish Youth Theatre as part of the Making Space programme. They have had input from SYT’s artistic tem and also participants who fall into the target audience age bracket. On Fri 11 May,  they would like to share what they have developed so far – and welcome any feedback you may have.
