Scottish Youth Theatre National Ensemble 2017

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we are delighted to announce our first ever National Ensemble for young people.

The Ensemble is an opportunity for young people to challenge and develop their theatrical skills by collaborating with some of the most influential theatre makers working in Scotland today. Membership will last a year and during that time members will attend development weekends across Scotland and present a production in August 2017.

The aim of the Ensemble is to develop members as theatre-makers, so in addition to performance they will also explore writing, directing and production. Members are expected to actively contribute artistically to the evolution of the Ensemble as the year progresses.

Scottish Youth Theatre National Ensemble will extend the progression routes and networks for those hoping to enter higher education and young people who are committed to a career in the performing arts.

There is no fee for participation - our motto is no barriers to talent!
