News: Creative practitioners required for 1 day workshops

SYT’s Theatre Toolbox is a programme of one day workshops for children in P3 to P7. The day long, stand alone workshops give the participants the opportunity to experience and develop their theatre arts skills whilst having fun.  Previously a wide range of activities have been delivered ranging from prop-making to devising theatre and stage make-up to stage combat. Young people can book in for separate days or the full week. At the end of each day, parents and carers of participants are invited to share and celebrate the work created and chat through the process informally.

The workshops will run from 10am - 5pm, from Monday 2nd through to Friday 6th April 2018 (SYT is open on Easter Monday). All workshops will take place in the SYT building in Glasgow and will have access to the resources available within the youth arts venue.

If you are interested in delivering activity for this programme, please submit a proposal and your availability for the w/b Monday 2nd April.  Your workshop proposal should include a title and a short descriptor (up to 300 words) and include an accompanying CV which can be aligned to your experience in this particular genre and working with this age group. These should be submitted to Claire Davidson via her email,

Deadline for submissions is 7th February at 10am.

The fee for each Toolbox workshop is £150 per day and we are happy to accept proposals for more than one workshop.

We will notify you of the outcome of the submission by Wed 21st February.
If you require any further information please call Claire Davidson on 0141 552 3988.
