We are excited to announce the launch of our Digital Collaboration project in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland! Leading on this will be Raisah Ahmed who will be working with artists and young people of colour across Scotland.
Raisah is a Scottish Asian Muslim Writer/Director based in Glasgow, Scotland. She studied Literature at the University of Strathclyde and went on to get her start in film through a First Light apprenticeship called 'Second Light'. Her short 'Meet Me By The Water' was commissioned by the Scottish Film Talent Network (SFTN) in 2015 as part of New Talent Shorts, it premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016. The feature script for 'Meet Me By The Water' was shortlisted for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab 2015.
She is currently in development on two feature projects with producer Zorana Piggott. 'Half-Moon Camp', a WW1 film, is in development Film4 and 'Safar', a female road trip film, is in development with SFTN.
She is alumna of the EIFF Talent Lab 2014 and the B3 Media Talent Lab 2017. Her television credits include BBC 3’s ‘The Break’, Cbeebies ‘Feeling Better’ and Cbeebies 'Molly & Mack'.
