Scottish Youth Theatre is a member of Children’s and Youth Arts Advocacy (CYAA). CYAA is a collective of leading arts organisations dedicated to ensuring every child and young person in Scotland can access inclusive, diverse and transformative arts experiences in alignment with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
We are part of CYAA’s Pledge. At Scottish Youth Theatre, we support children and young people’s right to access the arts. We believe art isn’t just a privilege – it’s a fundamental right protected by the UNCRC. Every young person in Scotland deserves the chance to explore the arts, develop valuable skills and enhance their future employability, health and wellbeing. This benefits all of society.
We believe in the arts as a necessity for human life to thrive.
we know the power of the arts to transform lives and communities.
We witness it in our collaboration with young people across scotland.
We champion the bold and brilliant new artists they become.
And we stand as allies to ensure this happens.
WE invite you to do the same.
Together our voices are stronger. Each pledge makes our collective call for action louder and harder for decision-makers to ignore. Ready to make a difference? Take the pledge today on CYAA’s website:
