Elevate at Theatre Royal Dumfries

In partnership with Theatre Royal Dumfries, 14th - 19th October 2019.

A free Autumn training week for aspiring young theatre makers aged 14 – 18 interested in exploring site specific performance.

Performance at a Plainstanes, Dumfries High St on Saturday 19 October, 2pm.

Elevate is specifically aimed at young people ready to take the next step in their journey as theatre-makers. During the week young artists collaborated with brand new company 'Hidden Route' ran by Lisa Williamson & Gemma Nicol formerly of Dundee Rep Engage, creating a site-specific performance, promenade performance which investigated reality and home. The performance incorporated live music and started at Theatre Royal Dumfries, finishing at the Plainstanes stage. Along the way, they used shop fronts, local historical sites and cafes to tell their story.
