Scottish Youth Theatre present
In partnership with An Lanntair
A free summer training ground for aspiring young theatre makers aged 14 – 18 interested in exploring site specific performance
Monday 8 – Saturday 13th July 2019
Are you an aspiring artist passionate about exploring your theatre making skills? Then register for Elevate – a week-long, free holiday programme at An Lanntair, Stornoway.
During the week you will collaborate with Theatre Artist, Fraser MacLeod and Composer/Sound Designer Ross Brown to create a site-specific performance which celebrates technology and theatre. Using mobile phones, music programmes and soundscapes you will create and perform in an interactive digital world in response to space, place and your own authentic stories.
Elevate is specifically aimed at young people ready to take the next step in their journey as theatre makers, whether that is applying to a higher education institute or registering for the Scottish Youth Theatre National Ensemble. This programme will furnish you with what you need to continue your development.
Participation is completely free and those who register must be able to commit to the whole period of the course.
Elevate is supported by the Educational Institute of Scotland and The Theatre Development Trust
