ACCESS TAILORED, 1:1 SUPPORT WITH THE SCOTTISH YOUTH THEATRE TEAM.
Alongside our artistic programme providing a range of projects, workshops and other creative development opportunities, we also offer a suite of bespoke 1:1 online sessions with members of the Scottish Youth Theatre team. Open to all young theatre-makers, whether you have previously participated in our programme or not, this offer provides opportunity for you to seek advice or explore ideas on personal projects, career development and professional practice. Each session is crafted around the type of support you are looking for, including:
These sessions offer the opportunity to dissect a topic you need to know more about with a member of our team. Previous sessions have covered starting your Creative Scotland funding application, putting together a project budget, how to approach venues and reviewing residency applications.
Sessions are up to an hour aimed at early-career artists or theatre companies set up by creatives aged up to 28.
Coaching is structured time, designed to help you identify and work through the things that get in the way of your creative and professional development. Maybe you’re at a crossroads in your creative career or you’re about to graduate and unsure about the next steps. Coaching is an opportunity to think aloud, unearth the issues, and discuss the strategies. It’s an opportunity to understand yourself better and be (re)inspired. You have the answers, you just don’t know it yet!
Leaning on the Digital Media team’s experience, build on your own digital marketing skills to better understand your marketing needs and how you go about making that happen! Previous topics covered have included how to set up a paid advertising campaign on social media channels, the importance of a clean and up-to-date website, or how to write effective marketing copy to promote a show.
If you’re interested in receiving some of this support, fill out the enquiry form at the bottom of this page and tell us about what you’re hoping to get from the team’s support. Once we receive your request, we will pass it on to the most suitable member of the team and they will be in touch with you directly.
These opportunities are available year-round but please be aware, this is additional support provided by the Scottish Youth Theatre staff team alongside the delivery of our programme, so please be patient in waiting for us to respond.
