Eoin McKenzie is a performance maker and director from Glasgow who works across contemporary theatre, live art, and writing. His work is interested in how we experience and shape the world around us and how the process of making performance can renegotiate our human narratives in search of more compassionate and caring modes of being in the world. Eoin is excited by thematic ideas of impermanence, transcendence, failure, and chaos.
Eoin is an associate artist at Platform where he is developing his new work, All Or Nothing, as part of his selection as one of Imaginate's Launchpad artists for 2018/19. He also directs the Platform Young Company with Gudrun Soley and presented their most recent production Shaking The Habitual at the Traverse Theatre as part of the Chrysalis Festival ( **** - https://www.list.co.uk/article/105302-shaking-the-habitual/).
Eoin regularly collaborates, directs, and performs with other artists and companies and has most recently worked with Glas(s) Performance, Edinburgh International Festival, Hidden Giants, Mamoru Iriguchi, and Aby Watson.
Eoin is looking forward to exploring the potential of the written word in the live moment through performance experiments, task-based theatre-making, and collaborative approaches.
