Welcome back to In Dialogue… a Scottish Youth Theatre podcast that episodically dissects a new theme around theatre-making and the sector with an invited guest artist. In these episodes we platform creatives with a variety of skills and backgrounds, providing insights into how they have overcome challenges, found new connections, achieved key milestones in their own journeys and ultimately shape the future of Scottish theatre.
Back for the third episode of the series, Josie and Fraser discuss how director Fraser has brought together the two strains of his practice. In this episode you will discover what lessons can be learned from working in both industries, Fraser’s recipe for success and how he holds himself accountable whilst juggling multiple projects in a year.
A podcast perfect for theatre and film makers alike.
Fraser is a theatre and film director from Paisley. He is currently the Resident Assistant Director at the Bolton Octagon, and is supported by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation. His most recent play, Common Tongue, opened at Cumbernauld Lanternhouse in September 2024, supported by Creative Scotland.
Fraser is propelled by creating work that holds conversations with an audience, by nurturing new stories, and by telling old ones in new ways.
