Extracts from The Lost and Found

Something new has entered the Dialogue chat today – Extracts from The Lost and Found by Taya Sian

In this new format, we explore some of the unmissable stories from Scottish Youth Theatre’s vaults. And kicking off is Taya’s piece that was first shown as part of Trajectories 2025 at the Assembly Roxy.

The Lost and Found follows Sherry who has returned home after being at university, back working at her local pub she discovers lost items that stir old memories of people and events from her past.

In this recording you can get an exclusive listen of Taya’s favourite moments from the piece, as well as some surprising bonus content that didn’t make it into the final cut of the show. So whether you didn’t get the chance to watch the show or you were one of the lucky audience members who attended Trajectories – there’s something for everyone.

You can stream the episode directly below, or by visiting our podcast site.

Alternatively, listen to it on the go when you’re on a walk or travelling to work on your favourite platforms: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts or Amazon Music.

Taya Sian is an actor and writer from Glasgow. She is passionate about showcasing working-class stories and her writing is heavily inspired by her experiences growing up as a young carer. She thinks it’s important to address topics we don’t usually see in the theatre. She hopes that being able to see her own story on stage will help others who had similar upbringings feel less alone.

Also a quick reminder to let us know what you would liked covered on Dialogue – subject areas and particular topics are always welcome so drop us a message via one of our many social platforms.

Scottish Youth Theatre is a charity, and, while we get some public subsidy, we need to raise just as much in other ways every year to deliver our projects. Support us with a small donation to reach more young artists in more places. Click this link to donate as little as £5.
